The Company
Our company has existed since 1976. During this time we have gathered a lot of practical experience designing machines and equipment for the wood-processing industry. The company Michael Schmidt is located in the "Schwarzer Regen" valley in Viechtach, one of the most beautiful towns in the middle of the Bavarian Forest. The company Fritz Schmidt, s. r. o. is located in Vimperk, Czech Republic, in a town known as the "Šumava Gate".

Foundation of the firm Schmidt by Fritz Schmidt. - 1976 — 1990
The company Schmidt deals with assembly, reconstruction and servicing of existing equipment from the manufacturers Esterer and Linck. The company's scope of activity is expanded to the whole of Europe. - 1990 — 1998
The company's own Construction Department for mechanisation is gradually expanded. - 1998
Construction of a new hall with an integrated construction office and electric workshop for the company's own production of switchboards. - 1999
Expansion of the Construction Department and commencement of production of milling machines. - 2000
In September the firm Fritz Schmidt, s. r. o., is founded in Vimperk, Czech Republic. - 2005

Design of milling equipment, professional and individual consultancy. Communicativeness of our sales and construction staff and quick solutions according to the client's wishes. Mounting and putting into operation of milling machines and mechanisation for modern wood-processing operating units by trained personnel. Repair, maintenance, reconstruction and dismantling of existing equipment are also among our strengths.
We also offer used individual machines and equipment or whole technologies.
Construction Department
Using CAD technology, experienced employees prepare various solutions and designs according to the client's requirements.
